70P is a small but powerful portable compressor kit that is capable of inflating up to 25-Inch and smaller tires easily by simply plugging into your cigarette lighter power port, connecting to a valve stem and turning the unit on. Tire pressure can be monitored using the gauge mounted on top of the unit.
70P Amp Draw Warning:
Most automotive cigarette lighter/power ports handle up to 15 amps. Some vehicles' power ports may have even lower amp ratings. Before purchasing and using this unit, inspect the amp draw limitations of your vehicle power port. The 70P Portable Air Compressor requires a power port rated for 15 amps. Never replace fuses of higher amp rating beyond the original rating of the circuit. Consult your vehicle manual for further details. You must turn on your vehicle when you are running the air compressor.

Excellent product! September 6, 2010 Nikonguy This is an excellent air compressor. I recall my father having another brand/model when I was younger and it never had the ability to pump air into a car tire at the speed this one does. Plus that old unit was NOISY! This unit is extremely quiet.
Another review mentioned that the screw-on connector to the tires is a mistake. I don't believe so. Screwing it on is a positive connection and does not rely on a crimped on connection as many other compressor hose assemblies use. There's no "wear and tear" on the insertion point if it is screwed on. The collar of the screw-on connector rotates independently from the hose too, so it is very easy to put on and take off without kinking the hose itself.
I used the compressor on both of my vehicles and neither had a problem of blowing any fuses. I guess my cars both have 15 amp abilities from the cigarette lighter.
I'd highly recommend this product. I did a lot of research before deciding on this item and I'd have to say all of the other positive comments I've read on this item here on Amazon was what convinced me to buy this over other units. While this may cost you more than another compressor in the lower price ranges, believe me, this one is worth it. It's a quality build, works as promised, has extremely quiet operation... what else can you ask for? :)
A nice, quiet, small tire compressor September 2, 2010 kep427 (California) As many here have already stated, the unit is rather quiet for being such a powerhorse tire compressor. It is small (with corresponding small chamber), so of course it takes a bit of time to inflate a vehicle tire, but no more than 5 minutes or so.
Although much of it is plastic, it feels relatively durable and is weighted so it stays put rather than vibrate all over the place. The AC cord is long (easily >10') so I've had no problem reaching my truck tire while plugging the unit into my truck or nearby car cigarette lighter. The connector easily screws onto the tire valve which is worlds better than the other lame version where you push the connector onto the valve and then try to flip the handle on the connector to secure the connector to the tire valve.
Only one "problem". Unit kept blowing my(15 Amp)vehicle fuses. I contacted the seller to return, but she suggested the manufacturer could help me. She gave me a 1-800 number to call; after a few buttons I was able to get tech support. Tech said all I needed to do was have the car/truck running while using the compresser. Apparently, most vehicles do not put out 15A through the lighter when the vehicle is not running. Would've been nice for this to be in the instructions and doing this is a bit of a nuisance, but no big deal. I use it now about once a week on my slow leaking truck tire with no problems.
Fuse Blew in 5 Sec August 24, 2010 FLboy Bought this for my Mom for roadside emergencies. Read all instructions and started to top off a passenger tire and it blew the inline fuse within 5 seconds of filling the tire. Customer service said the car engine must be turned on, but it doesn't state that in the manual. Guess you have to buy spare fuses if you are going to use this model. Anywho, it was too too unreliable for my Mom to use, so back it went to the seller, at my expense of course. Should have just gone down to my auto parts store and got a reliable/uncomplicated model.
Does the job August 19, 2010 BG Bought this to use with my 2 cars and a motorcycle. Works flawlessly. Some old cars you might have to start the car before you switch on the pump especially if its an old battery.
Works fine for my needs August 3, 2010 L. S. Trottier I tested this pump on my large suv tire. It pumped it from 10# to 45# in about ten minutes. Although the instructions warn that the pump may get hot to the touch during use, it never did. The sound was very mild as was the vibration. It never seemed like it was being overworked. It looks to be of quality construction and hopefully will last a long time.
